Ingredients
For the Peanut Butter Dough:
- 1/4 cup butter softened
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 egg
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
For the Brownie Dough:
- 1/2 cup butter melted
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
Prepare the Peanut Butter Dough:
1In a mixing bowl, cream together the peanut butter, softened butter, and brown sugar until the mixture is fluffy.
2Add the egg and vanilla extract, beating until fully incorporated.
3In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually fold these dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just blended.
Prepare the Brownie Dough:
1In another bowl, whisk the melted butter and sugar until smooth.
2Stir in the cocoa powder, ensuring the mixture is lump-free, followed by the egg and vanilla.
3Gently fold in the flour, baking powder, salt, and chocolate chips until the dough comes together with no dry streaks.
Chill and Swirl:
1Refrigerate both doughs for about 30 minutes.
2Once chilled, scoop 1-2 tablespoon-sized portions of each dough and position them side by side on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
3Using a toothpick or skewer, swirl the two doughs together to create a marbled effect.
Bake:
1Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2Bake the cookies for 9-11 minutes, until the edges are set and the tops develop a delicate, crackled appearance. The centers should remain soft.
Cool and Serve:
1Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5-10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
2Once cooled, enjoy these irresistibly swirled treats!
