How to Make Taco Salad

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 head lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/2 cup black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1/2 cup corn kernels, fresh or frozen
  • 4 tortilla chips, crushed
  • Optional: sour cream, salsa, and jalapeno peppers for serving

Instructions:

1In a large pan over medium heat, cook the ground beef until it is browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.

 

2Stir in the taco seasoning according to the package instructions. Remove from heat and set aside.

 

3In a large bowl, combine the lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, avocado, black beans, and corn.

 

4Divide the beef mixture evenly among the bowls, then top with the lettuce mixture.

 

5Crush the tortilla chips and sprinkle them over the top of the salad.

 

6Serve the taco salad with sour cream, salsa, and jalapeno peppers, if desired. Enjoy!
