Baked Pork Chops with Golden Mushroom Soup and Rice
Ingredients
- 4 pork chops, center (cut 1/2 inch)
- 1/2 cup sweet onion (finely chopped)
- 1 can (10 3/4 ounce) Golden Mushroom Soup (original used Cream of Mushroom)
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 1 cup dry long grain rice
- 4 tablespoons bacon fat
- 1 1/2 teaspoons seasoned salt (or to taste)
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper (or to taste)
Instructions:
1Season both sides of pork chops with your desired amount of seasoned salt and pepper.
2Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
3In a large oven proof skillet over medium heat, add bacon drippings then heat until hot but not smoking.
4Add seasoned chops and lightly brown both sides,when chops are done remove and keep warm.
5In the same skillet you cooked the chops in add onion, water, soup, and rice.
6Place the chops over the rice,season with more pepper if desired.
