Ingredients
  

  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
  • 1-2 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ tsp garlic salt or regular salt
  • tsp black pepper
  • 1 lb salmon fillet cut into 4 portions

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, whisk maple syrup, soy sauce, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  • Place salmon in a shallow dish. Pour marinade over, turning to coat. Cover and refrigerate 30 mins (up to 1 hour), turning once.
  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Transfer salmon and marinade to a baking dish. Bake uncovered 15-20 mins, until salmon flakes easily.
  • Let rest 2-3 minutes before serving. Spoon pan sauce over top.

Notes

  • Syrup: Use 100% pure maple syrup for best flavor and caramelization.
  • Don't Overcook: Salmon is done when slightly translucent in the center; it will continue to cook as it rests.
  • Serving: Excellent with rice, quinoa, or roasted vegetables.
